upper canada village fish!

anyone whose been there knows about the huge catfish that live in the pond and river.

If I'm not mistaken (maybe I am), but that actually is Carp, not catfish. Carp are a varient of goldfish and will go nuts over bread or dogfood if you toss it on the pond. Great picture either way =)

see, I wasn't sure, but now that you mention it, carp makes more sence..I'm an idiot:P

Nahh... they do look a lot like catfish. They have the small whiskers (located near the bottom of the mouth), the size of catfish (pretty darn close I'd say), and certainly don't look like goldfish at first. One of the main differences between catfish and carp though, is that catfish have tiny barbs on the inside of their maw that resemble small bee-stings if you are bitten. Carp on the other hand have none, and if you stick your feet in the water when carp are eating food, your toes will be sucked on briefly =P
