Enigma's Conbadge for FurDu 2012. Now that the con is over, I can upload this. Yay!
I'm not a fan of con-badges where the character just sits there and smiles at you - they're kind of boring (no offence if you draw these, I just don't like them much). Thus, whenever I ordered a badge for myself I asked for something a little silly so the artist would have fun with it. My Quixote badge from Thesaria is eating his own name, Kat Aclysm is sleeping.
Two days before FurDu, I realised I hadn't finished Enigma's and my own conbadges so I inked and coloured this just in time for the convention. The night before we flew out I bought a laminator, photo paper and laminate-plastic for about $25, not too shabby.
Now I can print my own art on badges FINALLY, yay!
I love how this turned out. Enigma looks so damn arrogant and confident. He's also playful, adorable, and very very cheeky - qualities I see in him every day. I am so lucky to have him in my life, making him his own conbadge was something I've always wanted to do for him. And heck, having a weird artist for a mate means he'll get this kind of stuff for free.
