I used to own a skateboard but never had anyone to play with like this... or anyone period.
The Stray Cats were a popular rockabilly band around 1985, I bought a couple of their albums -- their big hit was "The Stray Cat Strut."
So why's Delilah a fox? I dunno... I wanted the bright colours I guess.

Early boards tended to be. The first were built on roller skate wheels. By the time I got my first board they were a little larger, maybe 20 to 22 inches on average. They were just for rolling down hills and weaving around traffic cones, so they also had a high clearance. Later skateboarders tended to want to jump around on them, lay down or stand on their hands or take other foolish chances that I would never have considered doing in a million years, so stability became the most important feature a skateboard could have. So they got bigger, and bigger, and bigger. Also lower to the ground, with smaller wheels, though that must have been less useful on the street.
