this was a luna moth that was having issues flying, it kept flying in circles and would knock itself out. It wouldn't hold still either when we caught it, so this is the best picture i have of it.

I love luna moth's their my all time fav so when i saw this little guy hanging outside the window i flipped out in excitement!

You seem to have quite a knack for running into cool moths. I eagerly await the day I get to see a Luna moth! The coolest moth I've seen so far is a Polyphemus moth when I was in Waitomo, New Zealand.

Ed and I used to watch a swarm of these guys dance by the river back when I still lived in the village. It was amazing!

Wow, my first year at wild nights these were every where, and i decided then they are the most beautiful of the moths, though at the time I thought it a nocturnal butterfly. Its wings are open when at rest, and dont fold up.

It was probably close to dying, since luna moths don't have mouths, their only purpose is to breed and die.

I used to see Lunar Moths every year, but then it seemed they decreased in number.
They are still among my favorites, and I still see them on rare occasions.
