This was one of my favorite paintings I did in my Painting II class in early 2010. It was featured in my university's art show at the end of the year. The painting was done on a circular piece of pressed wood I cut myself (yikes that was scary!). When I started this painting, it was more true-to-life colors, but I hated it. So my professor suggested different colors, and I just had a great time making this.

Deer are one of my favorite animals. I was known for awhile early in college for being obsessed with them because I played this game called The Endless Forest ALL the time, dressing like a deer for halloween, and of course drawing and painting them all the time. They're just so beautiful and graceful. And thank you!
