Since I've been running around job hunting- this is one of the things I've come across!
This you can find in a very pristine, locked glass case over in the Eastside Marketplace in Providence- an antique cash register, made by the National Cash Register Company....made sometime between April or July, 1900.
A HUNDRED POUNDS of pure brass, iron and glass, and meticulously restored by the HBAC group of Jasper, N.Y. according to the sign.
A true classic thats for sure :3

Hahaha, not quite. XD According to my 1900 Sears & Roebuck catalog, you could get 75 doses of Wonder Heart Cure for 75cents; a dozen 2-oz bottles for $2.00; an assortment pocket watches for anywhere between 98 cents and $9.60; a complete Empire State Photographic outlet for $34.65; an upright parlor piano for $98.50; a double barrel shotgun for $17.75; an assortment of men's and women's boots between $1.50 and $3.00; a cheap corset for 50 cents or an expensive one for $1.75; even an obelisk headstone for the "unheard of price of $29.00." Just to name a few. :P But it's looking like the most expensive item (at least in my quick survey) is a Cabriolet with canopy top, full length side and back curtains for $118.00
But if you want an accurate idea of the monetary values, you'll have to multiply those prices by about 20 or so. But even then, those corsets were still damn cheap. A cheap one today is $100. :/

Ha! Nice! :3 You know what's funny, is it seems that every antique shop uses an antique register, hehe.
