Here's the entire Tessier family, photographed on one of their last vacations together.

From left to right:

-- Mariel Malkin-Tessier, aged 33; a loving wife, a demanding mother, and a deadly demon-slayer.

-- Rayne Tessier aged 10½ (and don't you forget that half a year!); already stubborn, with no idea she will follow in her mother's footsteps.

-- Aldo Tessier aged 34; a devoted husband and father, a master artificer and blacksmith, and the only man to ever bring out Mariel's softer side.

-- Quinn Tessier aged 5; having the most fun in her young life riding on Daddy's back, and blissfully unaware of everything that shall come to pass.
