This is not what I ment by a wake up call! O_O

I suddenly noticed this spider crawling towards me on my bed last night. After a short involuntary squeek of surprise I brushed it to the floor and watched it scurry out of sight. This morning it had climbed onto my leather executive chair and perched itself on the seat.

I captured it this morning in a Rubbermaid plastic sandwich container half way up the back rest and took it out to the garden far away from foot traffic. I have 2 other photos I could upload if it would help to identify this spider.

Please identify me. O_O

wolf spiders are bigger and black and grey, this looks like an oversized Brown Recluse

I looked up wolf spider first and I agree it does not match. Its too light to be a brown recluse and the marking is also wrong.

I believe that is a female wolf spider. I would flip out seeing a spider like that, which is what happens when I find them inside while camping. Outside they're fine, but when they get inside it's a problem. ;w;

I just saw the "Kentucky" part of your tags. Theres a possibility its a Nursery Web spider.

the info claims they have different color patterns that make them similar to looking like a fishing spider.

I think it is a Wolf Spider, its just a very /young/ wolf spider, its markings aren't prominent, but from the picture you can tell it has the stripe down its back. Its just very faint.

Hummm...looks this up. Idk but about 3 inch legspan it looked pretty full grown to me - whatever it is.

^ not a real scientific name. But it IS a freaky looking spider! I've seen those around before. I think they're poisonous, so be careful. o.o

This is a Nursery Web Spider. Likely Pisaurina mira.

They can be a little large and disconcerting to those with a fear of spiders, but they're quite harmless.
