In the forest not far from the human settlement, there's a lone tree, standing on top of a steep hill. Every morning, when the first Sun rises, an old man would come from the eastern side, and sit there on a rock that was placed under the tree, and would leave towards the west as the last Sun would set down. No one knows who this old man is, where he came from or even how old he is. He would always greet any passerby, with a smile not leaving his face as he would hold onto his cane. The most weird thing about him is... he has been appearing there for many generations now, and he hasn't aged a day. To those who would be willing to make him company, he would tell all sorts of wonderful, amazing tales that were passed onto others. Some find them unbelievable, a fairy tale, but others seem to find some truth in them....for they tell of the world's past, the past they themselves find to be vague at best.
He would tell stories about how there was originally just one Sun in the sky, and what are now known as second and third Sun were once this world's distant brother and sister. Where there are now forests, there were once giant metal buildings, and man would reside in them, doing whatever it did back then. There were no hunchbacks, mammoth-people, sky lizards and children of the night.....it was a world of man. However, it all changed. Wars raged, cities have fallen, and man's numbers grew smaller. For reasons unknown, the world's brother and sister ignited and became Suns themselves. But instead of it having disastrous effects upon the world, it helped the Mother to recover, and no one knew how or why. Mother began to heal her wounds, and in order to fill in the void and give the man some company, it brought back the creatures that were once considered by a man to be figments of imagination, the tales of legends and myths...now, the man has found it's ballance with the nature, and while the science is still present, the man has learned from past mistakes, and began to use it wisely. Long gone are the dreams of travelling among the stars, long gone are the tall buildings and cities...the man is now one with the Mother, as it should be, as it will be until the end of days.
Just some quickly thought-out story (silly as it is) to go with this pic, as I've been practicing more in SAI to paint backgrounds and stuff. Pretty satisfied with this.
