She may look like she's relaxed, here, but that could change at a moment's notice. Then again, you wouldn't notice because your head would be off your shoulders when her mood changed.
coyotenose commissioned this picture of his character Cauchemarie through my Corset Commissions Sale! This dangerous beauty was done in markers on a 7"x5" Bristol card.

This is just tremendous. It's so lovely it unseated my desktop background, which I only change about twice a year. ^^
Like bolzan indicated, the marker work is very subtle. The proportions are impressive; what got me the most is how her arms look longer because she's leaning forward, which makes her torso shorter by comparison. The clothing detail is riveting. The sketchiness of the city emphasizes the character, and evokes her mood and mindset. And that choker... are there some extra triangles of material on it to give the suggestion of a full collar? I've never seen that before. It's really alluring.
I'm loving this piece to death!

To do this one, I put on one of my corsets and posed in front of my mirror to get the pose right. That's how I really noticed how the back has to stay straight despite the forward lean, how the shoulders look around the neck, and the shape of the thighs, especially on the underside. These are all things I would have got wrong had I not modeled this.
For the choker, I was mostly inspired by her lacy high neck collar on the screenshot you sent me as reference, and I put on a strip of ribbon around my own neck to see where it would sit.
I'm so happy you like it so much! If you want, I can email you the full resolution scan for you to have a better quality desktop image. Just send me your email address in a note and I'll email that to you!

I am amazed by the dedication you put into your work. That does explain some other things. I'd noticed that those specific points you mentioned, the shoulders and thighs, didn't look anything like what I've come to expect from sites like this. I was actually bragging on all those parts when showing this to my friends and sister.
Heh, that screenshot actually had her wearing a barbed wire necklace (which wouldn't hurt her). It was just a really lousy SS because the computer was very old. Your design is a million times better, and I want to see that collar in real life now.
