thank you! I wouldn't say things are going wall per-say, just ya know..not sucking as much as usual, for the moment. After the Dance Festivle in June I have to take a break form Dancing to go back to the hospital and such, so I am trying to do as much as I can before then.
they are to a point, don;t get me wrong. And I was having a wonderful time :) I will link the rest of the pics once I am done editing. I am still dancing still drawing, and just trying to make the best of it. The glowie-ness and Happiness in the picture is real, but the harder side of my life is also real. Just balancing :)
Trust me I will let EVERYONE know when things really turn around and are better :) That will be a celebration in which I would include everyone.

Oh congratulations! And Thank you :)
What style are you starting off in? And hey, ya know, the dancer I look up to the most told me this once, and maybe it will help you. When you first learn a move, don't expect to get it right away, there is a physiology behind learning, if you can't do something yet it's just because the neuro pathway hasn't been formed from your brain to tell certain muscles to move a certain way, but it WILL happen. It just takes some time, and LOTS of practice, then one day your brain and body are like "Oh yeah I understand how this works now" and you can do the move, then build on it from there.
I even have an article about the science of shimmies somewhere.
But good luck and remember, Keep at it! there is NO dream you can't achieve....

Good good! You are starting with the traditional styles. A LOT of people now a days are starting in Tribal Style, or taking Choreography classes to perform as a first time instead of taking lessons in the traditional styles. Hey that;s what I did, 7 years in the Traditional/Cabaret Style (the one you are doing) and the last 6 in Tribal and Tribal Fusion, but I STILL practice 2x a week at least in the foundation style. It helps in case you really start to get good and want to branch out more. Arabic style is a GREAT foundation to have. If you have any questions at any time about a movement or just anything belly dance related, please don't hesitate to ask. I ALWAYS love helping out budding dancers (I teach so yeah LOL)

I am Currently in a Online belly dance competition for "The Ultimate Belly Dancer" so we'll see what comes of that. Not really expecting anything, but it would be nice.

Lysette Just seeing this makes me think that you're about ready to do a veil dance performance piece.
