Wages of War - Sketchwork
People always urge me to submit more sketchwork... ok, here you go. ^^
My latest project is called "Wages of War" and will show the outcome of a fierce battle between the Aktesian army and the Barbarian troops.
The good guys won... but they suffered many losses.
The final artwork will be a TRADITIONAL ARTWORK again!! :) But I prefer doing my pre-production work on tablet these days.
As you can see, I always prefer drawing the main characters nude (sometimes rough, sometimes more clean) and then putting clothes and armor on them. And I prefer using human models!

I still saying that that´s very clean and elaborate for a simple sketch XD I like the scene of this one, Reptile express a lot of pain and some sadness for the loss of his men whose fight for the victory that they´ll never see. Such a war reality.
This pic will definitly be an impressive work once you color it. I´ll be waiting for it. And Reptile´s anatomy and pose looks pretty well made in both modes ^ ^ Keep impresing us with it.

There are no dead Reptilians in this picture. Surely, some of they are laying around somewhere... but not in this particular shot.
See, this is the Aktesian (human) army and REPTILE fights for/with them!! And since he's really tough, he survived that battle... better than some troopers.

Oh, Patrick you've done such a wonderful job with the anatomy and the musculature is absolutely breath taking. It looks like it was quite the battle and Reptile looks so, well relaxed as he bandages himself up. It's almost eerie in how casual he is, while the human in the background to the left needs the aid of another to keep him on his feet. This piece shows a lot of promise and I look forward to the final product. Keep up with the great work, it is absolutely stunning. Take care and hope to talk to you soon.
