What the title says. :> It's the phoenix head again (see my gallery for daylit photos), this time with EL details lit. The poor head is a little bent out of shape and very, very dusty, but those are things that don't show as badly at night. :D Some of these frames have a flash, others don't... so you can pretty well see what it looks like in both low light and no light situations.
Next up... wing photos. Someday. When I can secure the whims of the photographer I live with, or at least steal away his tripod for a little walk in the park...!

Oddly enough, it doesn't look as good as I wanted it to. X) Ahaha, artists. I was going to use ultrathin wire for the head so I could fit it to the tight angles better, but my package didn't arrive in time and I had to settle for my boyfriend's existing stock of "phat" wire. While sturdier, the phat wire doesn't bend as well in small diameters and the end result is a little more rounded than I had imagined. x_x However, I'm extremely pleased I was able to improvise in time with what I had on-hand!
As for poi, yes, I've been spinning for nearly five years now; but no, not while wearing a head like this. :> Much too easy to get entangled by anything more than a simple flush-to-the-face mask. However, I have a pair of huge wings with blinking lights all over 'em, which are even better than poi for an application like this.
Hope that answers yer questions. :D
