Yesterday, at a combined party (two birthdays and a first communion) my brother's neighbors let the kids jump on their giant trampoline. After joining in the fun for a while, I noticed the grass had a lot of clover mixed in with it, so I wondered if there might be a 4-leaf clover in all that. The back half of their yard was full of muddy puddles, but I slowly overcame my phobia of dirt and when I finally was walking through the mud freely, I was rewarded with this.
This brings the total number of 5-leaf clovers I've found to 3 (The one I found last week started to shrivel up immediately and I don't dare take it out of the dictionary for photos until it's completely pressed flat). Sadly, the first one I found, despite being in a small keepsafe box, dropped a leaf, and has been reduced to a mere 4-leaf clover.
