Mike had entered some kind of rundown stone church or temple. He was 12 years old with green eyes, short brown hair and a red jacket. Light brightly shined above him which lit some cracked, and in some places completely missing, stairs before him. He took a glance behind him and saw that the way back had been blocked by some large stone slabs. Much of this building had collapsed on itself and that gave Mike only one option. He began to climb the steps hesitantly, ready if something were to lunge at him from the shadows. However, no snarling monster came out of the darkness and Mike slowly made his way to the top.
He entered a sort of large, circular balcony that gazed out onto a large shadowy landscape. So dark that it was impossible for him to discern any describable features. The balcony was well lit with large braziers and numerous torches and the ceiling was domed. But the oddest thing wasn't that he seemed to be in a decrepit building without a clue in the world how he got there. It was the large black dragon that sat down near the balcony's edge that caught his attention. Mike was surprised, this had to be some kind of dream. But he felt that this wasn't a dream. It felt real in every way. This wasn't the largest dragon he had ever seen, but it was definitely the first real dragon he had ever seen. The dragon was staring into the darkness, unaware of the intruder behind it.
"Hello?" No answer, perhaps it didn't hear him, "Come on man, you don't have to ignore me like that."
"What!?" The dragon had turned her head around, an obvious look of anger and annoyance on her face. Her reaction startled him and he took a step back. "Some of the most powerful creatures of this world don't even dare to challenge me and you have the nerve to sneak in here and insult me!" The room echoed with her voice which terrified Mike. He had stupidly mistaken her for a male! "So you understand that I get a tad upset when a little human like you comes up to me and treats me like an equal when you should be treating me like your superior." Mike shook a bit. Her sudden outburst had demolished his confidence, "Umm… I guess so."
"Excellent." "Are you still mad?" "Oh very, very mad." She bounded forward and before Mike could get away she encircled him using both her body and her tail. If he tried to run she would either grab him with her tail or with her claws. "Unfortunately for you, when I get angry, I get hungry." The dragon flicked her tongue at him. "But if you answer some of my questions, I may calm down. First, what's your name?" "Mike, and yours?" The dragon gave an angry look again, "I ask the questions boy, however I never did introduce myself did I? My name is Cynder. Second, how did you get here?" "I don't know" Now now, don't lie to me Mike, that will just make me angrier." Cynder licked her chops. "So I ask again, how did you get in here?" "I honestly don't know I was just… there." "You obviously don't want to tell me. So I'll just go ahead and move on to the final question." A hungry gleam came to her eyes, "Do you know what's going to happen to you?" Mike gave himself a mental slap in the face. He should've seen this coming. She was toying with him! It wouldn't have mattered what he said. "Yeah… I have a pretty good idea."
She let out her tongue and began to lick Mike. He made no attempt to stop the pink membrane from slithering across his body. The dragon noticed this and retracted her tongue, "You're not struggling." The dragon paused, "You're enjoying this aren't you!"
Mike lowered his head and closed his eyes, "Am I really that obvious?"
The dragon reared her head in shock, but then it turned into a large mischievous smile, "Oh… I understand what's happening. You're one of those people that would love to be eaten by one of us. That's why you approached me knowing that it was dangerous. That's why you angered me because you knew I would react. Well…" The dragon leaned its tail behind Mike pulling him towards her, "I think giving you what you want is in both our interests. Besides you smell… delicious." Cynder was salivating now. "Uhh…"
She pulled him in further, "I won't ask for your permission because even if you say no I'll still do this. Besides you're not really in a position to escape now are you?" Mike took a quick glance around then turned back to the evil dragon's eyes. She was correct, it was hopeless. "Just relax and enjoy the ride, if you can." She opened her maw and pushed Mike inside with her tail. Once inside she immediately began to move him around, savouring her prey. Mike enjoyed it somewhat, however he also realized that this dragon didn't care if he got hurt. More than once he got dangerously close to her fangs and he feared that she would rip him in two. Every time he would slide back at the last second.
This human wasn't struggling at all, not even pretending to. She didn't like that, not one bit. "Start struggling or I'll start chewing." A pause… Then the mass inside her mouth began to wiggle and toss about, "Now that's a good boy."
The dragon continued her licking for a few minutes then proceeded with her 'game'. Mike was easily swallowed by the dragon and as he slid down her throat he was beginning to think that this might not end well. He landed in her stomach and waited… Waiting...
After 20 minutes, "You're going to let me out right?" He heard the dragon laugh, "I don't think so…"
Mike was panicked now. The dragon was going to kill him! He got up and immediately began to fight against his fleshy prison. He punched, he kicked, and even headbutted, but nothing he tried did anything to help him out of his predicament. He was trapped. He slowly laid down to fall asleep, awaiting the end.
He woke up once to hear Cynder barking out orders to what he assumed to be her minions. He fell asleep shortly after waking, uninterested.
Hours passed…
Mike woke up again and he was still inside the stomach, surprised that he was still alive. "Cynder?" For a few moments, nothing happened.
Suddenly, Mike felt that everything seemed to be contracting around him. Eventually there was so little room that he was forced back up through the throat. What? She was letting him out after all? The pressure was intense going back up, however it was better than feeling that death was coming in the next minute. Eventually he reappeared in her mouth and she gently placed him back on the ground. He propped himself up with one hand and wiped the drool out of his eyes with the other. He looked up and saw another dragon. Not Cynder. This one was purple and it had a look of complete bewilderment across its muzzle. He turned around to look at Cynder. She had gotten smaller somehow and her body no longer permeated a feeling of dread. "Thank you.", Mike said.
"Human, I…I…" She dropped her head, her entire body radiating guilt and she was on the verge of tears. In a split second, Cynder had grabbed Mike with both her claws (despite the fact that he was covered in her saliva) and began to give him an apologetic hug. "Mike… I'm so sorry."
Mike extended his arms and began to hug her back, "It's okay. I'm glad you changed your mind." Mike smiled, grateful that the first true adventure of his life had ended so well.
