This is another rememberence picture. Its just a line art for now. If it isnt clear, it is a picture of a collie stuck to a computer screen. I am planning on coloring this.. But anyone is welcome to give it a shot too.
I sadly dont remember the collie's name anymore, it was such a long time ago. I had met him online in a chatroom when I was fourteen or fifteen.. I was online quite alot then. It was during the time my parents were getting a divorce. My world felt as if it was falling appart around me. The computer and my friends online were the only constent thing.
The collie was always there when I got home from school, and we would talk and talk for hours and he would help me with homework and listen when I had problems or had a bad day at school. I knew for a couple years. He was of course obsessed with collies, and he had a wide range of them in his collection. He collected stuffies and figures, books.. what ever he could get his paws on.
One day he had gotten a big silver and white plushie, and he had named it silver, after me he said. I had had a really bad day that day too, and it made me feel a whole lot better, and I even took a screen shot of him with it.. who knew it would last longer then him..
One day I came home from school, and got online. I of course expected him to be there, but oddly he wasnt. He was rarely, if ever, not there when I got online.. I figured he had something importent to do and hadnt managed to come online.. It was the same the day after that.. He wasnt there. As well as the day after that, and then again he wasnt on.. He wasnt on for a whole week..
I got very worried about him, and then one day I got an e-mail. I thought it was from him.. It was titled "To my friends.." but it turned out it was from his mother. The letter was a thank you letter.. She was thanking all those who knew him and were his friends, for being his friends.. I dont remember much about what all it said, but she told me that he had passed away. Her son had had a heart condition. He had lived longer then his doctors had expected, and she said that he had spoken often of all his friends online.. especially one he called Silver. She went on to tell me that his heart had finally given out while he was asleep..
I cried.. and still do. I wont ever forget the collie that brightened my days during a very difficult time of my life.. So here is to every one who spends a little time making someone elses life a little better. Even if it is just spending time listening and being there.

Wow....
That's a touching story... It's funny how life works sometimes. You know someone for so long, it's second nature to see them when you expect to. Then one day, they're gone.....and then you realize all you have left are memories....
Thanks for letting others see this and taking the time to write it up.
