So the ceiling of this place collapsed a couple weeks back, and now it just looks like a tragic imploded hole of ass and lame compared to the grandeur it used to hold. Ah well, these places never last forever.

You have no idea how awesome it makes me feel for you to say that. I always hope my photography will have that kind of impact, where it just incites motivation for some creative engine. It's the best reward for practicing the art.

I love how the curtains are *almost* perfect and without wrinkle. Really contrasts the state of the ceiling.

Again, what theater, name location? reason I ask, is I used to be into film, I used to own an original silent movie theater that closed in '29, and had quite the collection of film at one time.

Unfortunately this theater is pretty much gone. It was the center feature of an apartment complex in Baltimore that has been run down for some time. No film, alas, but the remnants of a scrapping effort that clearly hadn't finished nor been continued past a certain point. The ceiling of this theater collapsed early this year, January I believe.

Do you have an address or part of town? as I used to keep a log of known former silent era theaters, and stage theaters. Was trying to match some info up with location's. Would be nice if I could at least identify the original name, if only for your photo records.
