My friend  blitzkriegfox saw my bracers last year, and had it in his mind he wanted to make that PLUS more. His idea was a half glove, one that does not cover the fingers, but extends from the wrist end of the original design, to just over the knuckles.

And he wanted some green in there too, something I am personally very fond of!

And then he wanted some spikes over the top of the hand part :)

What we have now, are the finished beasties, with all their back-slapping dimple-in-the-cheek-leaving road-warrior-ready brutality-and-sword-weilding comfort-and-protection-causing good-badness.

These may well end up being a one of a kind (or one pair of a kind) construction, since the hand part is so critically difficult to get right. Good thing for both of us he was able to visit the shop for all that final trimming and fitting!

I love the way they came out, but MAN, they were possibly the single most difficult project I have undertaken, to date. If you are wondering why I left exposed screws... it's because the spikes are interchangeable, PLUS, the screws themselves are stainless steel to resist corrosion, and they are deeply countersunk to avoid contact.
