imukai Really neat character here! Though I guess I misused this picture for foliage practice a bit... XD And I still need to practice a lot more, but in the end I'm happy with how it turned out. :)

If this is what you consider 'needing more practice', when you get where you want to be you'll be rivaling photographs. :)
Great depth in this piece. I love how the mist gently thickens the further back you go. And the variety of plants really sells this image as a place. There are vines, bushes, weeds... and the lack of signfiicant blossoms keeps the focus centered. The posing of the characters tells so much. The stag is stoic and firmly planted. The satyr is stepping over branches to reach the stag. And the satyr's horns being bent back like that hints at him being tense toward the confident, fearless stag. The fact the stag is white and the satyr is so dark makes me wonder if maybe he means to do something bad to the animal. But the hand on the back and the way he looks at the stag seems to be wonder, so maybe if he did originally plan to harm him, he's changed his mind.
