Lo and behold, a mighty dreadnought. Armed with a twin-linked autocannon and dreadnought close-combat weapon with stormbolter, he's sure to ruin the day of many a bad guy.
The color scheme was suggested by Kuri (black armor with red shoulders). The TL AC was built many years ago, using a dreadnought twin-linked lascannon arm, two leftover autocannons from Imperial Guard Heavy Weapons boxes, and some ammo drums from those same boxes.
On a side note, one irritating thing about Dreadnoughts is that you can't mix up your weapons between them. You can't take a venerable dreadnought's arm and stick it on a normal dreadnought, and you can't stick either dreadnought's arm on an Assault on Black Reach dreadnought. I'm unsure of Ironclad dreadnoughts, but I'd imagine it would be the same. The pegs and holes are all slightly different sizes, off by about a millimeter or two, but just enough to make it so one will either not fit due to the hole being too small, or be loose enough it just falls off at the slightest jostle.
If you're wondering about the shiny bit on the model's left arm, it's some battle damage, like a krak missile hit it but didn't destroy it. There are also some minor dings and gouges in that arm.
The shiny thing above the ammo drums on the right arm - with the autocannons - is an aquila.
Right now, I'm using this model for the Hellfire Knights force I'm fielding using the Grey Knights codex.
If you're wondering why the model's right front torso looks bumpy and lumpy, I'm pretty sure there used to be an insignia of some sort glued on there that I took off at some point and never filed down smooth.
Well, hope you enjoy the model.
Oh, and the model and photo belong to me, and WH40k and its stuff belong to Games Workshop
