Furry worlds present interesting challenges. In a world where your entire body is covered with often highly visible markings and a mulititude of species exist; going undercover or disguising yourself gets to be a real trick. Now most PI's don't do as much incognito stuff as Hollywood likes to show. Instead most PI work involves countless mundane hours at county office rummaging through paperwork or cold calling and Googling, but sometimes you need an alias. Jessica Knight's alias is Lillian Kurz. With the help of Roberta Mendoza Jessica has on occassion had her fur and hair bleached and new markings dyed on. Needless to say this not something you do on the drop of the hat, and you have to put a lot of trust into the person who is doing it.With Roberta's help Jessica can be made up to be a fairly convincing generic candid. The othe part of the disguise though is not the markings but the personality that goes along with it. Since Jessica has a somewhat memorable figure, and because of some of work she's done, Lillian needs a very different persona. Where Jessica is fairly reserved and objective and rather professional, Lillian is a ditzy club goer who supposedly bounces from one relation to another holding down a constant stream of part-time jobs. Lots of people will have heard of folks sleeping with Lillian but rarely will someone know anyone who actually has.

For several reasons. One since her and Carla often are doing work where it is best that someone does not know your true indentity it gives them some protection from reprisal. Second Jessica has been used as bait to get information out of people for cases, and it is amazing some of things guys will say to impress a girl either to get her in bed or in bed. Third it lets Jessica stay in contact with certain groups without letting other groups knows she is. Being a PI can result in a lot of compartmentilzation of one's life.
The funny thing is that Roberta "really" likes Jessica and would like to form a much more "intimate" relationship with her but Jessica is not interested. Jessica considers her a friend and associate but that is as far as it goes.
Roberta however has very little interest in Jessica once she becomes Lillian Kurz. Oh sure Lillian has Jessica's same great body , but what Roberta is drawn to is Jessica's personality, and when she Lillian she represses it very well.
It does cause for some interesting friction and tension between the two since Jessica know about Roberta's interest in her. Roberta knows that Jessica is not interested but still pines for her, and yet she still gets see fully nude when they are doing the bleaching and dying. She technically still gets to touch her but it is all in the context of a very professional, and controlled, relationship. But since Roberta is an experienced mistress she understand the concept of discipline and self-control all too well.

And I like the idea of a romantic intrerest based on someone's personality. You don't often see that in furry art (or in non-furry art, either, for that matter).
