Any life forms that travel too close are brought in to the planet's surface which is covered in nanites that quickly break down any organic material into fuel for the extremely energy efficient planet. The process of decomposition from any living thing into unrecognizable sludge takes about 3-10 minutes, depending on the concentration of nanites in the area.
