Yeah, I've been feelin shitty lately, so I figured I'd post what I've been doing on the Drill NB song. Maybe get some comments, and stuff.
I haven't been making much music lately, I've been wanting to star tmakign instruments but I live in an apartment and don't have much money so that's not happening soon. So blah, I'm stagnant, but this is the progress I've made. I have no idea when I'm going to end this song.

What I really like about that is, it's the exact same thing. The seconds before it have the same tune with no perc I guess. But the effects overload it and wack it out, then I just cut the effects and it's what it was to begin with (with added perc).
Yeah, this whole song is just an opportunity to learn how to use effects.

                    Slicing.
Doing it the oldschool way would be to open up the file in something like audacity and literally cut each individual sound from the file. Looking at the sound waves to find the start and finish etc.
There re modern Slicers now and there's the Fruity Slicer that basically just uses parameters to find the beginings and ends of soundwaves and cuts them up for you. Then it's just a matter of pressing a key like you would for a note and you hav an instant sample.
