This is what happens when you first stumble on the intro video to Wipeout 2048, and then when you get the commentary for said video, find out there's an actual backstory to the games, which leads you to another fan video going into detail about said teams, and in time you get interested in a series you never had a real chance to get a hold on for over a decade, sans a PC demo of Wipeout XL and the demo for HD.
It's also spawned an respawned some ideas, and what's here is a prequel of what could hopefully come.
