Test render for today's comic
(I'm sharing this shot because you're not going to get as full of a view in the PG-rated comic.)
I spent a few hours trying to figure out where everything is in the bathroom, even pushing a walk-in closet into the area for a little bit. The closet would affect where things are, so I had to figure that out before finalizing on other stuff. Turns out, a queen-worthy closet required a lot more creativity in where I put it. Even with encroaching on the bathroom, I only had room for a "commoner's" walk-in closet. I found a creative solution to the space issue that didn't involve adding a room to the outside of the building or defying the laws of physics(even though I CAN do that in a comic).
The spheres are to show where the characters would be, to figure out the spacing/sizing of everything better. There's also 2 characters worth of spheres in the Jacuzzi, but Kenny and Death will be the only characters in the shower/Jacuzzi combo. I wanted a 2-person shower and a 2-person Jacuzzi in their master bath, and I eventually decided that they could actually be in the same enclosure. Why not, right? Sure, there are electronics to protect in today's Jacuzzis, but it'll all be even more waterproof by their time(no electrical outlet needed, either). So I might as well combine them. Let it rain on Death's aromatherapy candles.
Yes, I'm aware it looks like a jail, even though the bars are far apart. The glass will be added later, since I have to draw characters behind it. I make things harder than they sometimes should be(if I used b&w lineart with no 3D, I'd be in bed already & wouldn't even be using even more time typing this up).
Update: I decided that the bars and glass would be distracting and slightly obstructing, so I removed them for the final comic.
