Although this story technically uses the same Dreaming setting as my earlier Caleb pieces, it's a bit of a departure from the norm. There were certain aspects of the way I ended up portraying the fae and their abilities that I wasn't entierly satisfied with and tried to correct here in "As it Was Said". Having explained that, it's possible I went too far in this piece, so consider this story part of an ongoing tinkering process rather than a declaration of change. I'd love to hear people's opinions on how they feel about this version of the fae versus how I wrote them in "Opposition" and "In the Maiden's Name".
Also, I should mention that there's a bit of violence in this, but nothing gory.

I think that its very easy to just say that fae, while otherworldly and strange in their own ways, can be quite "human" in the sense that saying they're all this way or that way amounts to a massive generalization. Under that logic this story would be showing another aspect of Fae, albeit one that would be veeeeeery foolish to ignore for anyone who encounters them ;)
