Well the character's name is Shadow Heart. His story was that he was created by a character who had no friends in life but who desperately wanted one. Inspired by the lyrics from Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" that state "my shadow's the only one that walks beside me", this character brought his own shadow to life. When the enchanter ultimately passed away, the shadow lived on and continued its purpose of bringing friendship to those who needed it or looked like they needed it by becoming one with their shadow. This form you have here is what he looks like when he's in disguise. His actual appearance makes him look like an Earth Pony who's as black as ink with pure white eyes. Think of the game Limbo and you'll know what I mean. The cutie mark is a white heart that has a black shadow of a half heart beneath it. :3
