Another example of the commercial,non-comics work that I do...I have just started a new job illustrating vol.2 of "The Adventures of Cory",a series of educational storybooks for Children: www.corysclub.com I'm taking over from the Artist who did the first book,my good friend Buddy Finethy. The aim of these books is to teach life lessons and good values to Children. The main character is Cory,a little Raccoon kid with a tendency to get into mischief. The first two books are a two-part story about Cory going off into the woods after his Mother warned him to stay in the yard and getting lost.In this, the first Illustration for the second book,Cory meets a new friend-Tammy the Palomino. She'll help him find his way home. I'm hoping this will will turn into a reasonably steady gig for me as the people behind these books seem sincere in their commitment to the project. I'll post the color version as well, eventually.Cory and Tammy c. 2007,Cory's Club,LLC-All rights reserved.

Thats indeed very cute and I´m glad you get a job that pleases you and all. Teaching moral lessons to kids is a important tasks these days. We need to re-think values again and think about how good they are and that they need to be teached.
Its also intresting you draw something for a child book, then a lot of companies have a problem wehn the artist draws violence and nudity and post it on furry sites that allow stuff to be posted that a lot of people do not want to see at all.
I´m glad your new boss or bosses dont seem to mind or at least dont know about it.
Too many good artists fell into the moral pit and needed to stop thier other works while thier bosses saw it as bad and damaging for thier company and sales if the artists draws adult related materials as thier hobby.

Thanks! ^ ^ Y'know,it's always bothered me a little that just because an Artist does or has done work of an Adult/Mature nature, that some people think that makes them unfit to do anything else! I consider EVERYTHING I do,both Adult and non-Adult,to be part of who I am as an Artist. Two Comic book Artists that I admire greatly,Wally Wood and Harvey Kurtzman, both did work for PLAYBOY.
