Beetle's got something in there called 'arm stilts'. Lets you distribute your weight evenly and walk on all fours with your legs fully extended.

My hand reaches to his knee so my wrist acts as his knee joint :) The legs are basically tubes with a handle inside to grasp.

About how long can you stay on all fours in that suit? I've seen some quadsuiters in the past that seemed to only be able to do it for a few minutes at a time. I really like the idea of quadsuits btw, and yours are simply amazing ^___^

I realize this question isn't directed to me, but I thought I'd chime in because I looooove quadsuiting.

I think my best time was about an hour, and most of that was spent either "standing" still or "sitting". I have a "hands and knees" quad, which is a bit different though. I don't know what it's like with the arm stilts.

45 minutes or so.. but if I stay in that long & try to be animated for most of it I suffer a pretty horrible heat stroke headache afterwards from not replacing enough fluids. Still I don't think I've even been in him for less than half an hour.. I get so many people taking photos and such that taking it off almost seems wrong so I kinda take it way too far and have to basically be forced out when I'm so tired that I start breaking character too much.

I did the FC parade in him in.. 2010? I had to rest a few times but I made it before it ended heh. So counting set up and the photo at the end that was probably a 3 hour or so stint.

No but that is a really good idea... Now I really want to take him to a desert :D All non-federation worlds in Star Trek seem to be deserts lol.

You could contact a zoo/animal park and see if they had any vacant exhibits. A sponsored targ-a-thon zoo exhibit would be awesome. I would sponsor you. I'd also bet that there would be plenty of people who would become convinced that it's a real animal species.
