As a small child at the age of six years old, The very first time I had seen the Muppets was on Sesame Street. At the time I did not know then how much of an impact The muppets had left on me.
I grew up on Sesame street, The Muppet Show and Fraggle Rock, I had seen all Jim Henson movies from The Muppet Movie to his very last movie The witches.
In 1985 I wrote the muppets a letter to ask about becoming a muppeteer sadly I could never go to New York to showcase my talent, to my mentor Jim Henson.
my greatest dream died on the morning of May 16th 1990 when Jim past away. I wanted to shake the hand of Jim Henson, and say "thank you for inspiring me into the world of puppetry.
I still build my puppets today, and I keep the magic of The Muppets in my life in every way. Thanks Jim, for being my mentor and teacher. RIP Jim Henson.

You should watch "Being Elmo", its a documentary of the star of Elmo, Kevin Clash, and he basically says the same thing, about good ol' Jimmy. I watched it, and I cried when they got to the point of them reporting his death. Its excellent, and you are absolutely talented. Id ask Kevin if maybe he can do something for you, because your creations are awesome. my children and I are sesame street people
We grew up watching the same shows, you and I. I do recall, years ago, seeing a museum thing set up. They had a Fraggle Rock display and how the puppeteers would fit behind the rocks used for the show. This is where I got my Miss Piggy doll in the purple gown and she can change into her Pigs in Space outfit. That has stayed with me all my life and I must have seen that exhibit around age 5. He's always been a big part of my life and I still cry over his passing. I'm glad he's a big part of yours.
I remember the news and put my head in my hands and cried.
That's one of the FEW times I can remember crying for a celebrity. And the wonderful thing about Jim was, he never saw himself as a celebrity, not ever.
I listen to Kermit the frog, and although Brian is trying his best...
It's just not Kermit...
