So I went back fixed up the pic, and added the manes back. Turned out it was only the water I did not like. Plus I added more of his gear xD
I'm might delete the previous version http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7913710/ soon but I'm tired at the moment.
His gear is an assortment of what is typically his own creations. Some of the gear was outfited especially for his brother. The two often play wager games, some of it is fighting, and in the fighting wager games, Ebon loses most of the time....technically.(60-65%) If what he has gets past Sol's defenses, then it's a very useful tool to him, otherwise it's junk.
Why does Ebon lose often against Sol?
Sol is a well trained dragon that was made out to be a superweapon for a certain organization, with neural augmentations and superb active healing skills, not to mention having a shiftshaping ring to form anything he'd like within its limits and the shadow beastes plus Bastion. Where as Ebon has none of those. He fighting skills rubbed off from ideas he got from TV, games, martial art books, tech books, firearm books, and oversea shows veiwed from the internet. The rest was came natural, and Sol did teach him some things. Aside from the experience vs inexperienced reasons, Sol does take advantage of most of Ebon's weaknesses, and because of Ebon's hide is primarily black, as soon as Bastion totally restrains him, it's over for good.
Ebon's Weaknesses?
-His power and fire magic are mostly high cost. Effectively powerful though; Super bad when they aren't.
-Ebon's very dependent on his power. His power protects him, making him near invincible, but all of his power and magic uses the very power that protects him. He sometimes takes gear with kenetic damper field generators but the devices themselves can break under too much stress.
-He's very dependent on weapons and tools. Granted there are things he can do when even unarmed by taking advantage of his weight.
-Ebon's unseemly flexibility and agility only serves him well while he's bipedaling, he's too large to move well on all fours.
-Ebon's wide hips, size and accumulated weight with his gear otfen hinders his ability to jump high or take flight right off the ground without his power.
-He uses a jet boost power skill to aid his slow mobility, but given to his extreme weight, he can't make sharp maneuvers well, let alone skate across the dirt without sinking then falling over or breaking his toes.
-In flight, Ebon's center of gravity and wieght makes his flying quite hard to deal with as compared to Sol, who is lighter, has a bloated mid secton and a tail wing.
-His right eye is easily blinded by light.
-Up close, he is in trouble without his weapons.
-His firearms aren't up to military or even on a civilian level. They are usually terrible. However it's a much different story if when he uses military firearms.
***Why I say military firearms?***
***Simple, firearms made for the military were made to be the best weapon for the soilder and more importantly work. Custom made firearms from scratch by hand can have it's flaws by either the firearm itselt or its ammo. In Ebon's case it's usually the ammo that makes his guns terrible compared to standards.***
-His purple bag is invincible, but he didn't have enough material to make his other bomb bags entirely safe. They all are fire proof though.
-His black hide serves to be a huge liability, against any shadow beast for the matter, but especial against Sol and Bastion. Even when Ebon's power protects him from getting affected by the shadow beast, Sol can still use Ebon's color to phase through him.
-Ebon is well maintained, thanks to his eating habits too, which means the indescriminate eating machine has a very active exhaust rate. The two know this all too rest. It puts Ebon in danger of becoming a rocket when lit under the right conditions, it's the crash at the end of the ride that hurts, but most of the time it just causes a huge explosion. Sometimes he uses his 'rear fire bomb' to his advantage.
+Of course there's the universal male weakness, but the two bros deal not to aim there.
+Then there's the part where Ebon is intentionally aiming at the non vital areas when against Sol, but limbs are a different story. Sol is also not aiming at vital areas intentional, however, he's not the one with guns and blades.
How can Ebon stand up to Sol if he can do anything to him with the shadow beastes?
Control over them goes both ways. Ebon's hide is a liability, but it enables him to reach into Sol and force them to act up, thus totally screwing over Sol and sealing Bastion. So if he still has his power or sees Sol/Bastion coming, then he has time to react, the time he needs to reach out to one of Sol's shadow drones to make Sol bloat like a balloon and put him out of the fight. Sometimes Ebon gets unlucky and ends up getting Bastion snagged on him, of which he is totally restrained and puts him out of the fight. Plus the shadow beastes can't do much to light, and subcome to it instantly to Ebon's optical powers.
How do the fights end?
Most times one admits defeat, Sol heals them both, and they go homw resuming their usual routine. It's much better than winning by KO, cause if Sol is KO'd then who's going to heal them both? Cause Ebon can't heal a thing, but he can treat wounds the old fashion way.
How often do they fight?
Once every 2 weeks on average. Their fights sometimes last for days, even weeks. After the fight is over, Ebon won't consider making another fight wager untill he's restocked on goodies, among other things. Although, he does sometime make other wagers as soon as the next day.
