Blue-Scale, a Vanguard warrior, develops a bit of a man-crush on Rangi, a young Maori mechanic who he is tasked with guarding after Rangi had a bit of an accident. Rangi was originally a bit freaked out about big, nasty, brutish aliens intruding into his life and turning his entire world upside down, but comes to appreciate and love the somewhat simple-minded (and single minded!) warrior after some time. Especially after Blue-Scale rescued him from a rather nasty torture session where the warrior was quite badly injured himself during a subsequent fire-fight.

Aye, I have had to go on a bit of a spending hiatus now that I am back home in NZ and in the process of building a rather expensive house But I couldn't help myself when I saw Malorne offering commissions - I really like his style.

A combination of work and house stuff going on (both the building project and the hassles we are having with our temporary rental accommodation) have conspired to keep me both watching the purse-strings and away from the keyboard during my off-time. Heh, the song is by an obscure 80's one-hit-wonder pop group called 'Blue Mercedes'.

The annoying thing is that I am not tired of them either, hence more art. And if I had a spare Vanguard I would certainly loan him out to your fine self, as long as you washed and scrubbed him down (with your tongue?) before returning him....
Been doing okay - just a lot of my time is being stolen away by our house building project and working on our property. All good things, but not leaving a lot of spare time otherwise. Although with Winter about to dump on us I suspect that there will be a bit more free time - damned if I am going to go out and do any planting in this bleedin' weather!

Hehehe... bearing in mind of course that Winters in this part of the country aren't like the Winters you get where you are Because NZ has little landmass, we are 'insulated' a bit by the oceans surrounding us, although they do get snow down to sea level in the bottom half of the South Island. So Winters here just tend to be cold, wet and windy. The worst we will get in this part of the country is a frost.
We are in the process of shifting rental accommodation, but after that has settled down I'll be a bit more active everywhere, and can catch up with some woefully neglected correspondence.

Hadn't a clue about the music reference. Then I went and looked it up on Youtube. And saw the music video.
Between this and what I saw over there, the notion of a four armed alien brute being all romantic with a human the lesser in terms of bizarre visual imagery. (Catchy beat, though!)
This is quite the loveliest of lovely renderings, though. :3 I love how everything about this pic flows into each other... like obliviously, our two lovebirds here flow quite nicely into each other, but the brushstrokes make even their bodies flow into the background very nicely. :3

Yes, the video... well, sometimes it is better to just shut your eyes and listen because the accompanying video is a little... distracting Especially for some of the stuff that came out in the 80's!

And you can't just throw them into a sack with a few rocks then biff it into the nearest pond or river, either. You should see the fight they put up when you take them to the vet to be neutered. The blood, the screaming, the orbital strikes, oh the humanity...

The first thing that I thought of when seeing this image, was "huh, those tusks would be handy to grab a hold on when riding him face to face".
And... Another good thing about riding him face to face, is the possibility to feel his long tongue glide up and down your chest and/or neck. Or face. Or in between your lips and down your throat.
