I'm loving this story so far! (I finally caught up, heh.) The gryphon is quite an interesting character, and the whole situation makes me want to read more. I am partly confused on his appearance, though. Sometimes he seems to walk upright but others he goes on all fours. I had been picturing a non-anthro form that could rise up a bit, but the scene with the cloak made me wonder if he stood more erect somehow. Either way, I'm eager to see what comes next. It seems like a big scene with the mage's guild is about to take place.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion. There are a number of episodes at the mages guild coming up and number 20 should explain everything. Hofft just can’t help but show off his ‘pet’ but short explanation is the he wanted one that could walk on both two and four legs so he made him that way.

Interesting how their relationship has grown and changed, but I'm betting the mage still has a way to go before he truly sees the gryphon as an equal.

That just might be asking too much of the mage.
