This song is about the title, and the other way around.
I just wanted to make an "IDM beat" if only to show how easy it is.
You simply take a rhythm, in this case a simple 4/4 drum loop sample on FL and every single measure you change it a little. No two measures can have the exact same rhythm, based off that you just use a normal sense of rhythm dynamics.
Listen to any Aphex twin song if you want more validation, his rhythms simply never repeat EXACTLY the same. You could even go through looping the same beat as you compose the song, and then at the end alter each one so it's just that little bit different.
The loop is DL_Taught. I have it on chorus, bass boost, and delay. This wasn't hard at all I never worked on it for any straight amount of time but I'm sure it's les than half an hours work, from conception to completion.
EDIT: forgot to mention, the opening is just granulizer. and some delay

o_o i had always wondered about those sort of things....*headtilts a bit* granted something like that would be hell on real drums unless at a much slower tempo.....in essence one way to think of it would be keeping the beat of the first half of the measure and then on the last half of every measure putting a different sort of drum fill there, changing the main beat when needed...i'm going to have to expiriment with this. ^^;
