So this was intended to be the follow-up story to "A Night at the County Fair." In it we find out what happened to Rose after Rascal switched bodies with her. It was intended to be a story of redemption and to finish the character arc for Rose who comes to terms with her own mortality and at the same time discovers how to be a mother to the grown son that she never knew and never would have had the opportunity to know had she continued with her immortal lifestyle. I might have thrown in a romance as well. The story was to end with Rose eventually catching pneumonia and dying, likely after having lost a third of her former massive body weight.

I ran into some obstacles writing this. The biggest thing must be that it is hard writing an immobile character. There's only so long that you can write about the many ways in which the character is restricted. Really, I feel that this is what caused me to stop writing this. You have to really manipulate the environment in order to make an immobile protagonist interesting and proactive. Here, Rose simply doesn't have enough going for her. Despite all the potential character development, she wound up being too inert for me to connect the dots from A to B.

This is as far as I got. Given all my other projects and idea, I feel that I'm unlikely to return to this. I hope you all can enjoy it for what it is and what it could have been.
