Depth: squint your eyes and see how the same tones allow for your image to look flat. You can up the contrast and add slight shading in places to create more depth.
Also go for things outside of your comfort zone. Try collaging from existing drawings and using ink and charcoal.

Well...if you're going for the flat color look I think you nailed it. But if you want more detail then you can put some shine on those balloons in the front if you want. As far as I know though, I would get a birthday card or something like this. I wouldn't put too much detail on it though if you're planning on generally keeping it like this.
