I like them alot actually! Might I add a little critique for the pen though? You say you don't like the look, but I bet if you had a dark orange o orange red pen to outline them in it wouldn't have been so I guess....distracting? The color would have emphasized the picture rather than appeared too bold. I love them either way though!

Thats a wonderful Idea.
The paint was laying on to thick and thats why I went with a pen. I'll try to see if i can paint over but if anything I will def be using it on the next round of fish ;D

When I did alot of watercolor I'd like to outline in pen sometimes, but later I tried to outline in like, watercolor markers that were a few shades darker than my paints and it looked marvelous. ^^ Just see how it looks and compare the two, you might like the outlook. It might be fun to try different colors to outline in too, like a brighter color than the paint and so on. Or adding in complimentary blues or something in a subtle way. I'm no professional with watercolor but I found that trial and error and testing things out was the most fun in learning the techniques. :>

I took a class in college with this stuff and man did I learn alot. Watercolor is great, but ever since I took a class on oil it has been my most favorite medium. It's a very expensive medium to work with though, and watercolor is so relaxed and alot cheaper. xD I suppose it depends on how you like to stroke your brush and the methods you prefer~
