So this is what my stitches look like, the needle I use and the stitch I use. The stitch is like...locking stitch they use to suture. Hopefully I'll be done furring this dude today!

I prefer to use a straight needle for most of my sewing work. Curved needles when the area requires it. Looking forward to seeing this head done.

It's an upholstery needle. It's especially useful when trying to stitch the inside of things and areas on a fursuit head that are hard to reach. It's also a little easier on the fingers when sewing through thick layers of fleece.
