I don't think so.
I think what reminded me of it is that that novel's version of Robin Hood wasn't very lucky either. 'Course, in his case, it was more he was forced by circumstances to reverse the whole Robin Hood schtick. Robbing from the poor to pay off the rich ain't the most glamorous lifestyle.

... eh, not really... cause anybody who can keep it in line is crooked to begin with. That's not putting much faith in the human condition, but the truth on matters of conscience are hard to defend when pressured. All it comes down to is this: we are born, we decay, we die. 1 2 3 , simple as that. Everything else is just.... salad dressing.
