I used to do warhammer, and that looks awesome. I did elder, and tau until i started to notice i couldnt play that game for shit lol

oh man ive been playing for a long time and have been winning a few local tournaments every now and then, just last night i blew another 238 bucks on my eldar army, i have a few other armies too but this is my biggest one

well in the table top game i play...there are no turreys, in dawn of war they do have them, they are grav weapon batteries, tau on the other hand doesn't have turrets, you need to ground your battle suits into the ground to act as any form of turret

Well the eldar still do have turrets sorta on the table top. They're just support weapon platforms that can made part of a squad. Or just a lone heavy weapon choice. Unless you don't have any yet. xD

but yeah. tanks are hard as hell to detail for me. They mostly end up being flat colored cause i don't know many techniques for tanks..only for the figures.

yeah i see what ya mean, bit going simple with them is best, if you want try getting an ink of the colors you use and line all the places were the armor plates meet, then touch up then highlight most of the edges, that i think might solve your flat look problem, also to give a wee bit more character to them, paith mud on the tracks and fenders, chips in the paint exposeing metal bullet holes that kind of stuff really can do a vehicle good

Well for filling lines on my tank I already used way watered down chaos black on my paintbrush to finish that. As for actually doing chipped away looks and spots hit on the tanks those probably are still beyond my skill xD

ah they arent that tough, you know how to dry brush?

A bit here and there. I do it with my figs..but they don't turn out that well still. It can be seen on some of my figs...best dry brushing i can do is on cloaks that my eldar farseer and bonesinger wear xD

you mean warlock right? eldar table tops dont have bonesingers, well dude i would really practice it cuz dry brushing is my most used way of painting

Nope :P I have a bonesinger model. Check my gallery for it :3 And one farseer xD anything with robes and cloaks are easier to paint cause its so easy to paint those.

well there ya go, you proved me wrong, thats not a conversion?! ive never seen it before, in the new and last codex they have never had bone singers in the rules...were did you get it?

Twas a limited edition release at the beginning of the new codex for the eldar. xD Its no conversion I can tell you that. I could never do something that good with conversioning.

lol no i actually have a very cheap budget and actually too its not as smooth as i would like it to be cuz it has 2 layers of trial coats that i didnt like, but i mostly just drybrushed it with a bigger "deer hoove" paintbrush and got smaller as i added the lighter colors then painted 2 different shades in the cracks then highlighted the seperate pieces, all and all ita around to be an 8 step prossess
