I went to Otafest this weekend...the anime festival. I tried to bullshit a costume...which was really wearing whatever I wanted and carrying pokemon around.

Anyhow, they had artists doing sketches in exchange for donations to the Festival's charity effort (This Year, the Calgary Humane Society). I got one, even paid more than they asked, because come on...the Humane Society, man!

I was so starry eyed with this I didn't get the artist's name to credit her...but I knew her, somewhat. The year before, we were on opposing teams for a Video Game Showdown, a Mix of Quiz and Gaming Challenges. She smoked me at Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, an insane talent with Amaterasu.

Anyway, this is me and my Croagunk, Nick (Short for Arsenic). The little guy got tons of attention at the con, being the only one of his kind around.

*Sigh* Nick, what am I going to do with you? I don't believe in keeping mon in their balls, and he just won't travel with me any other way. I indulge him. Despite a face that looks like he's either not paying attention or plotting something, he's a sweet little poisonous frog.
