Wonderful job on the wings I have a character idea that reminds me of this, although I need to flesh her out some.

I'm looking forward to more comics. Even if I'm not into their buttsex, the antics (and crimes against humanity) of Malak and Ripkin always make me laugh. Ripkin's the most delightfully evil character since Black Mage and HK-47 (meatbag).

And who's the new character you have in mind? You got me all curious.

She's a kind of holy warrior called a martyr my fictional version of religious martyrs). Basically, she gains powers from getting the shit beat out of her, then she retaliates (in a BIG way). She's very religious, but in a real pacifist and love for all way, not a crusader cracking open skulls way. Like most martyrs, she is strong and very tough (what doesn't kill you and all...) and takes it upon herself to help the weak, and heal the sick (by taking the disease and injuries onto herself).

As she takes more damage, and grows stronger from it, tears of blood drop for her eyes. As she gets even stronger, bloody angel wings sprout from her back. Beyond that, they become full angel wings, and she doesn't look so sickly anymore.

Interestingly, she will usually not defend herself, but will go through hell to defend others. She is, after all, a martyr.

Ooh. Jubil cries bloody tears as well... Malek kinda embraced him into this whole vampirism thing and all my vampires cry blood instead of normal tears (I think that White Wolf's Masquerade vampires do that as well).

I'm sure Jubil and this warrior of yours would get along really well. They could both get the shit beaten out of them. Misery loves company.

Ah, that's another thing. She's actually very happy with her life. As she sees it, she's doing something important by helping people, and she can expect a happy afterlife, so physical injuries that heal quickly (martyrs heal fast)don't really bother her.

I actually have a couple of vampire characters too, but I've already spent too much time talking about characters who haven't even appeared anywhere yet. :P

Elves are so emo-angsty sometimes. Angel elves X10... :)

Agree about the colours - the blood petals/leaves are a nice touch too!

Finnish is a pretty strange language. And Finnish grammar is a nightmare even for us Finns.

It can't be any worse than Classical Greek, shudder. I fell in love with the sound of Finnish when I got a CD of a Finnish singing group called "Vartinna" (sp?)... I can't understand a word, but I try to sing along! <blush> I'm sure you'd laugh yourself silly... :)

Oooh. I do know the band. Try listening to some Hedningarna as well, if you get the time and inspiration to do so. Some of their songs are in Swedish, but there's some cool Finnish ethnic singing going on there as well. ^^

This was kinda painted over an old picture I did a million years ago. This one looks like a heavily upgraded version of the previous one, but the anatomy is still a bit off.

I'm glad you like the wings. I think they came out pretty good. =)
