hehe nice. yeah the only thing i hated about the new transformers was they turned bumblebee into a camero instead of a 68 vw beetle like in the comics.

oh they'd of done New Beetle instead but VW didn't go for it

1962 Beetle with a soft sunroof

that looks like the one my dad had, except the tail lights weren't multi-color like that, and it was painted red instead of green. actually that might be a newer one then he had. i don't know the subtle details you can tell one year from another on those. except i know those tail lights are way bigger and different.

subtle changes are:
tail lights were smaller before those & were all red but you can now get amber red & white ones for those years
before that the reverse lights were seperate
Fender lights also were smaller
Window smaller early ones from the 1950s were oval & some had a split window
the real early ones from 1938 & experimental models had no window in the back

ok thanx. windows look about the same. only major difference is the tail lights. it was mid to late 70s he had his, and i'm pretty sure it was about 10 years old when he bought it.
