Before anyone asks, Elfane is a species of mine.
This is an Elfane I created for Bee, who likes my Elfane(I think? I cant remember why I made this for her.... :P)
She wanted a female, but my Elfane are so androgynous, it really doesn't matter too much. I drew this months ago and have been futzing with the design on and off. I'm pleased enough with it.
The main difference between the sexes in Elfane are markings. Males have stripes, females have spots. Either sex can have both, or neither, but females can NOT have only stripes, and males can not have only spots.
This guy here has stripes, so he's a he. He's got some speckling on his feathers but I don't think that's enough. Bee can add spots if she wants him to be a girl.
He's an air element. Aetherian, so they have feather wings. Air Elfane who are older and more powerful can have a smaller set of wings below the larger set, for a total of four wings. They are graceful, swift, noble, respected, spiritual. They are generally very kind, quiet, observational. I dont know what Bee has planned for her Elfane. These are just loose guidelines.
Their fur is very short but soft, with accents of very long, hairlike silky strands. These are ALWAYS located on the tail and ear tips. May also present on chest, elbows, arms, legs, cheeks, sacral area/tail base.
All Elfane are flat chested, digitigrade, have dewclaws, wide hips, slim shoulders, long ears and thick tails. Air Elfane tails taper to a thin end.
I originally wanted the Elfane to be short, thick and muscular(but not toned or anything, just firm limbs rather than soft). I've now changed my mind and am shooting for thinner, and with taller proportions(with a short height still). Makes no sense, but I do what I want. :U
blah blah, here he is. Still needs a name. He now belongs to

Also sorry for not keeping in touch much lately. I'm losing an interest in art and especially FA. Sorry :U
Final note: This species is not open to the public. I'm not done(and probably never will be) with their design. I generally only allow friends to own them. They are also not a sexual species. They have their opinions and practices, but I'd prefer they not be drawn in sexual situations for the sake of "smut". If you want to draw any of my Elfane, or those belonging to my friends, please respect that.

i love your Elfane o.o they may never be finished, but they are very cool and interesting. i love how unique all the different elements are to one another i do think it's kinda weird for females to lack breasts, but it works and doesn't take anything away from them, soo.... *nod*
I love him so much <333
You made him for me because I kept telling you how much I adore your Elfane species, and how one day I was gonna commission you to design me one. Then one day you drew the lineart intending to make it some other character and instead you designed an Elfane for me :333
I'm still debating on names ;w; I'll post him once I settle on one.
I think the Elfane need a comic. :3

You should keep a notebook and write everything down then narrow it into a refined story later. c:
As for sticking to a project, I'll just make unhappy faces at you until you do it I guess? xD You could probably make some cash out of it if you DID stick to it, then tried to actually bind it into a book. People would be all over that. c:

omg it looks like an anthro version of a species I made and called "Rhekii"(<plural; for singular it's minus an "i": "Rheki"). That is so awesome. Great minds think alike, right? >;D Also loving the color scheme. Beautiful! & finally, big ears are love. yay. ok - you get it, so I'll stop ranting now!
