The style for the upcoming "Transformers: Animated" cartoon has grown on me, much like barnacles. It's fun to draw, and over the last few weeks I've been working on this deelie off and on, in a parody of sorts on the TF:A poster. I'll freely admit a couple of the character poses I've drawn here are embarrassingly awkward, but I'm hoping it all works as a whole, more or less.

Oh yeah, I figured. I just wanted to toss in that joke.
For the record, in an interview with Scott McNeil, he said his favourite character in the series was Silverbolt, because he's brave, noble and (in the voice of Silverbolt) "dumb as a bag of hammers."
I've had the privalege of meeting Scott McNeil and David Kaye, who of course is the voice talent of Megatron... yes... =p

Umm...Rattrap's pose looks kind of strange...but other than that this pic is definitely cool. Brings back great memories, before the dark times...before Beast Machines. >_>
And I never realised a) Just hope much Airazor looked like Hawkwoman before...and b) just how much I stole Airazor's head design to design the head of the mecha I always doodled in high school.

Eh, I'm still skeptical about CN's version of Transformers, beyond just the art.
Cartoon Network only gets good original shows (like "Samurai Jack." And only good because it was actually serious for a CN original show) by accident.
Though for what you are doing, emulating a style, I must say you are doing it quite well.

zomg i miss that show... my brother has/had the whole collection of teh original main charaters from the show and some of the ones they just kinda made up. i have the upgraded form(much later in the show) of cheetor(think that was his name.. been so long -.-) sitting next to my computer at home :P
one of my teachers was one of the designers / animators on this show. (his first design was dinobot)
it's pretty funny to hear him talk about it, he just sits there making up excuses when we're trying to say we liked the show.
apparently the studio was getting the later episodes of reboot done alot faster than when they started so they tried to fill that time up with another show.

I must admit the TF animated look on the BW cast looks pretty sweet. I like how you did Optimus Primal and Waspinator. Even the little fangs of Dinobot make his character a little more humours. I don't suppose you can apply the same TF animated style to the other versions of the BW characters, like Megatron in his Transmetal form? If you can draw the original characters like this I can only imagine how you woudl draw the other versions.
