My last big effort art-wise of 2011. I’d been wanting to draw something along these lines for a while and although this still isn’t quite what my mind’s eye’s been seeing, it’s a near enough approximation.
Blackjack and his (relatively) trusty steed Knightmare, thundering down the forest road with a look suggesting someone unfortunate demon is about to have a Very Bad Day. I had in mind the Grymauld forest from chapter 5 of Heritage with its enchanted waystones that keep the road clear. Was thinking I might use this for the cover though I’ve half the chapter still to finish... I’ve the next 6 or so pages in various stages of completion though so the comic is still in progress, just very slowly. Knightmare’s hooves only flame when he’s in flight, but I’m using a little artistic licence here for dramatic effect.
