Thought I'd share a bit about the pup dragon biology on their birth. While there are different kinds like Water Pups, Fire Pups, etc. In essence they are only one species. It is their development while they are in an egg that defines them. They develop depending on their environment, absorbing it in, collecting the data to make them suitable to survive. Each color on the egg represents a different element and the closer to the center shows which tier it is in. The higher the tier the more powerful the element is considered and the rarer it is to obtain that element.

Most pups end up like their parents and the others in their village since they are in an environment that is best suited for it, though it is possible for mixed types to be in the family.

It is exceptionally rare for a pup for be born with two or more elements, but it is not impossible. Usually they are in the same tier. It is said possible to be possible through equal exposure of different environments, but even this is impossible to calculate precisely.

Here's the elements in their tiers.

Tier One Basic Elemental:
Light Blue - Water
Red - Fire
Green - Ground
Yellow - Wind

Tier Two Advanced Elemental:
Purple - Poison
Orange - Energy
Blue - Ice
Pink - Time

Tier Three Alignment
Black - Darkness
Gold - Light

There is also an unlisted white coloring that is non-elemental, but it is also a legendary occurrence.

The tiered are balanced with what beats what as followed.

Tier One - Going Counterclockwise they beat one another. (Water beats Fire, Earth beats Water, etc)

Tier Two - Going Clockwise they beat one another. (Poison beats Energy, Energy beats Ice, etc)

Tier Three - Here both elements are strong against one another.

As the egg matures closer to hatching, the dominate color covers the egg until it is fully covered.

The thing below is what a pup looks like while it is still in development. The egg absorbs data from the outside and feeds it to the pup to help it develop. Of course, this doesn't just take the element into consideration, but their likes, dislikes, behavior, etc. Their care in this stage is very important to how they turn out after hatching.
