MEH. I hate when images I do with the intention of making into icons don't translate well into icons. It looks.. ok as 100x100 but not as crisp as I'd like. Does anyone have any tips on that?
I do icons for $4 btw if anyone is interested
This was it obviously before it was cropped.. figured I oughtta upload the fuller version. This was a full-body sketch but her pose was stupid and boring so I just did the bust.
Tried a coloring style I don't normally use. Not sure if I like it or not.. tell me what you think (crits are welcome).

It actually looks quite nice on my computer screen :)
I know sometimes, with clarity, different formats can be crisper or look different depending on what you've saved it as. Also, sometimes messing with the dimensions of a picture can help. like not a full resize, but making the width shorter than the height and resizing, etc. .gifs are tricky because of the colour limitations but it's almost always crystal clear.. I've noticed with .jpegs, the reds can be off/blurry on my monitor. pngs can be blurry or clear for me depending on how much i resize, but generally they are almost always true to colour.
I wish I knew more about stuff like this ;;
Good luck on the resizing issues. If anything just play around with resizing, cropping, etc until you find a nice fit. C: Awesome icon, by the way! I am such a Van fan.

When I do icons I usually do the full head then crop when I'm all done so I'm not sure if the dimensions thing applies to how I do it (I just use the square cropping tool). But I did find that making the lines thicker/bolder, and opening it in PS, cropping and resizing as I go along to see how the lines look when resized helps with the crispness. Lol, Van fan 8D Thanks! What annoys me most about uploading any pics is that if the colors are kinda dark they get way darker and I have to mess with the levels and re-upload. I had to do that with this one so the red in the background isn't as saturated, but oh well.
