Earlier prototypes of Lionel's skytrain were not capable of high altitude flight. Here we see some marauding bandits trying to hijack the train in pursuit of perceived loot. The train is fairly well armored but unfortunately Lionel doesn't usually carry weapons which could be useful in scaring the ruffians away. He will just have to make do with what he has onboard. I hope they like pie.

Loosely based, yes. I allow artists to draw their own interpretation of how the train looks but it primarily should look like a Berkshire locomotive with steampunk additions. The fans are more for directional control than lift and are suppose to tilt. I haven't been able to get a tech artist to draw one really detailed yet.
