The Pirates challenge for ac is Steampunk Pirates. Here is my sketcyh for my entry. So looking forward to painting this. I kept waffling on species and when i started sketching this tigress demanded to be chosen. I don't argue with my muse, so tiger it is!

Okay. I LIKE the gear motif, especially the gears on the gauntlet gloves as they could add a spot of armor in a close fight. I also like the idea of the Formidable looking Tigress Lady claiming her "Prize" of the small keg. Now the question is, could it be Rum, Gunpowder, or perhaps a rare form of graphite grease which at the time could be worth more than it's weight in gold? I hope you'll consider adding the suggestion of great gear wheels, or at least steam pipes in the background. So far, it's a wonderful image.
All those little gears should be detachable and function as makeshift shurikens. They might not be able to stick into wood or slice quite as nicely, but they would still hurt like heck!
But she turned out to be a lovely beaut regarless of having throwing gears and cogs or not, hee hee. I really like her wispy hair and the cuffs around each hand.

Like the Captain Morgan pose and the outfit but.... too many gears! Excessive gears makes anything steampunk seem too cliche. there's actually a song made making fun of noob modders called "Put some gears on it and call it Steampunk." I'd keep them on the boots and belt, and change the ones on the gloves and places into big brass rivets.
